DC10 Ibiza

The DC10 nightclub in Ibiza is found off the airport runway near the south East side of Ibiza town. It is on the smaller side for a nightclub on the island fitting in only 1,500 guests at a time on under its covered terrace.

Despite its small size, the DC10 nightclub has had a rough history opening and closing several times due to failure to meet regulations although it is currently open once again.

Throughout several years of its opening in the late 2000’s it faced a series of court battles that led it to close in 2008 for failing to meet its DC10 Ibizalicense for 65 people until it reopened on October 6th of 2009.
The DC10 is most famous due to its original format of which included a 24 club day on Sundays. It became popular during this time due to Charlie Chester’s promotion efforts.
Many people credit the DC10 for bringing European techno into the late 2000’s.

One of other reasons that the DC10 became infamous is because it was the independent outsider of the overall super club Ibiza scene due to the fact that it did not have the same polished corporate image nad was headed by Italians instead of Spaniards.

Additionally, the fact that its club music is more related to the acid house rave era and warehouse tunes it also stood far apart as the secret gem of Ibiza for the alternative clubber.
